Replate - Food for the Homeless

Replate is a movement out of San Francisco that can be adapted globally. The concept is for you to help feed the homeless with a simple gesture and not be wasteful at the same time.

If you live in a big city like I do, you know people often go hungry on a daily basis and have to dig in the garbage for a meal. Many people take home leftovers and don't eat them. They go to waste. If you don't think your going to finish your food at home. Leave it on top of a trash can. This keeps the food from getting gross and keeps people from having to dig when scavenging food to survive.

I always do what I can. I take it to another level by cleaning out my fridge and cupboards of anything that is still good, but I might not get to before it spoils. So next time you see some fruit, veggies, bread that you might not have a chance to eat before it goes bad, pack it up for someone. Make a care package of food for the homeless and leave it nearby where someone who is need can access it quick and easy!
