Homeless Winter Warm Up - a Success!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to my Homeless Winter Warm Up and donated a scarf from their closet or a beanie from their hat rack this year. Thanks to you, we were able to pass out scarves to the homeless to help keep them warm this winter.

Here are some of the scarves we collected and simply bundled up with blue ribbon.

I went out with my friend, Bruno, on Christmas day to Civic Center in San Francisco and passed several scarves out to the homeless men and women in the city. It was wonderful to see the peoples faces light up with such surprise and appreciation. It is so rewarding and touching to see happiness in the faces of people who are alone and often forgotten on holidays. I also passed scarves out in the Mission District on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Thanks to your generosity over thirty people are going to have a warmer winter this year in San Francisco.

I am grateful for your support and so are they. Thanks again for your support.

ABOUT: We Are The Weapon

We Are The Weapon is a project I started to encourage individuals to take the step of making the world a better place by participating in various events to help our community. We Are The Weapon will also help raise awareness and funds for non-profit organizations and individuals trying to make a difference in the community. A main focus will also be creating venues for artists to display and promote their art while connecting with the community and cause-based organizations.

As individuals, we each possess strengths that can help others. These gestures of kindness will generate happiness for others and happiness within you in return.

Start to make a difference today and get involved with WE ARE THE WEAPON.

We Are The Weapon was started by San Francisco based artist and designer, Larimie Garcia.
